Welcome to my blog

Hi, I’m GINA. Thanks for dropping by. I’m an Australian crime fiction writer. Married with two wonderful children I live in Sydney and the Gold Coast. My passions are reading, writing, travelling this amazing world we all share, all things Italian and connecting with warm-hearted people.

Here is a list of some of my favourite authors – Jo Nesbo, Ian Rankin, Peter Robinson, Tess Gerritsen, Susan Hill, Reginald Hill, PD Martin…

I can’t remember a time when I didn’t have my nose in a book – now I’ve written and published my own.

The first book in the Detective Jill Brennan series is Secrets and  Lies.  It’s a cozy crime novel, more your British style village mystery, only the village is in Sydney.

The second book in the series is Killing Sunday and Detective Inspector Nick Rimis’s newest recruit, Jill Brennan, is the perfect choice to go undercover to solve an art fraud case until it turns into a major murder investigation with surprising consequences.

I’ve just finished my third novel in the series, Asylum. Check it out under ‘My Books.’

Hope you’ll drop by again soon… I love to chat.

    Hello Gina,
I have requested our local Richmond Tweed library purchase your books. I just love a good murder mystery! Conversation on all things writing was an absolute delight – thank you. My blog is open for business if you would like to take a look. It is called Big Dreams for a Tiny Garden at https://robynshaynes.wordpress.com

Hi there, Gina! I was relieved to hear that you liked my blog since from your reposts it’s clear you know 50 ways to kill someone PLUS how to hide the body afterwards. I think I should probably stay on your good side.

Thank you very much for adding me to your blogroll, by the way. That was a very nice surprise. Incidentally, can I just say your blog has an extremely cool name! Having said that, it wouldn’t work for me if I were a crime writer. “Death by Bun” sounds more like an industrial accident in a bakery.

Haha. My husband worries about the same thing! In the case of his sudden demise he has given strict instructions to the family to treat me as the prime suspect😎
I love your sense of humour by the way, and I’m looking forward to reading more of your posts.

Thank you! I look forward to reading your posts too.:-)

Your husband’s comments are funny, but possibly put you in an awkward position. If he has a tragic accident with a candlestick in the ballroom or a lead pipe in the conservatory, I’m sure there will be gossip.

  5. How much fun to read your blog and some of the comments. Love a good mystery. Mine are set in Arkansas and have a Cherokee crime scene investigator who often experiences some of the terror of the killings and a reporter who hangs around getting her stories despite him. I was once a reporter with a small rural newspaper like the one in my books. I’m going to check out your books too as they sound like something I would like. Thanks for following my blog too.

Thanks for the follow. I love forensics, which I guess comes from working in a medical library.
